Great Apartments and Locationsubmitted by David F. - |Recommended: YesI highly recommend living at Vista Del Rey. It's a very quiet building. The free lot parking is usually available unless it's late in the evening - garage parking and assigned deck parking are also options if you want to pay for your own spot. I rarely hear noises from neighbors - I've heard them laughing talking through the wall maybe a total of 4 times now in the past 4 1 2 months, and I only occasionally notice sound of the elevator through the vents. The grounds are very well-kept. Inside and outside of the building are always clean and I've heard the floors being vacuumed regularly when I'm home during the day. The construction overall seems great. The 2 things that are not my favorite are the popcorn paint on the walls and ceilings and also the lack of screens in the windows due to the latch push out design which I do like . The staff have been very professional and kind. I also love that there is an exercise room available for tenants. I'm very glad to be living here, I'm also impressed by the very reasonable rent, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering an apartment in the area.
response from property -Thank-you we value you as a resident here at the Vista
Dream place to livesubmitted by Tyler M. - |Recommended: YesCouldn't say enough good things. Building is in great condition, beautifully maintained, maintenance responds in 24 hours, onsite staff is professional and friendly. Building is very quiet, views are incredible. Free parking lot usually has space, if not there is tons of street parking. Get in if you can, fills up quick

Turn aroundsubmitted by Anonymous - |Recommended: NoSlightly overrated. Rent goes up 25-40 a month yearly without notice. So, if you are considering a home setting this is not the place. Temporary living maybe. Fact is when under old management tenants were on a steady monthly payment and still are, but the new ones are forced to pay for their conveniences. If you start with 875 and decide to stay a while, by the 5th year you are paying roughly 1100 for a one bedroom. Parking is only free if you chance parking on the street. Otherwise 50 per month for garage and 35 on the deck outside, with a chance of theft, so be insured. Awesome views, but they charge 10 per window to have cleaned. Really Ok people let's be real, there is always a uhaul at this building. Love it or list it
response from property -Here at the Vista del Rey we do our very best to accommodate and handle every issue that may arise here in the office, if we don't have an answer at the time asked we will definitely have one by the end of business unfortunately we will never please every one, we do our best in each situation.
Quiet, beautiful views, and priced fairly submitted by Andrew P. - |Recommended: YesI am very fortunate to have a gorgeous view of the waterfront and when I tell people what I pay, they are very impressed The staff is absolutely wonderful, and it did not take long before I began to consider them my friends. It's a joy seeing these two ladies and chatting with them, that is not something you'd expect from apartment staff. I rarely have to park more than 100 feet away from the back entrance, and considering this is the Stadium district that's pretty nice I feel very safe in my area. It's close enough to everything including the bus stops by Tully's without being too close to wanderers or loud traffic at night. You will however, if you live on a higher floors, hear the cheers and announcer from Stadium High School. The stadium is built in a way that the sound travels upward and outward. It's odd that when I park my car I can't hear anything but as soon as I get to my room on the 11th floor I hear everything, but I personally enjoy it and I'm not in bed before 9 30 anyway. Aside from the games, I find that the neighborhood is incredibly quiet and peaceful throughout the day and at night as well. As of this point, they are currently fixing the sidewalk along 4th street, which had been pretty uneven and cracked. This should make the grounds look nicer which aren't bad, just simple.
response from property -Thank-you for the kind words we are fortunate to have you as a resident
Great Place to Live submitted by Damien H. - |Recommended: YesI'm extremely happy with my choice to live at Vista del Rey. The staff is amazing. They are always extremely friendly and helpful. In the almost 3 years I have lived here, I rarely hear any noise from neighbors and it's never after 9 pm even though quiet hours start at 10 pm. If you aren't willing to pay for parking it can be a challenge. They do have a first come - first serve lot and parking on the street. It's an older building that's kept up well and they have made some updates to the outside paint, plumbing, and cable since I've lived here. Which is nice because it shows they care about the community. Even though I rated parking and construction as average, I can't think of any place I'd rather live. The location, staff, and neighbors are all awesome.
response from property -Thank-you for your review

Life is good at Vista Del Reysubmitted by Felicie B. - |Recommended: YesThis is a very pleasant place to call home. Rent is a bit steep, but the building is in a great location,Tacoma's beautiful Stadium District. The fabulous views of Commencement Bay and the breeze that comes off it during the hot summer days are well worth spending a bit more. These are apartments that feel more like condos as residents tend to be more established. The building is smoke free and has quiet hours. Frustrated neighbors will notify staff who will kindly but firmly hold you accountable to the rules that help make this a nice place to live. The shared laundry facility is ample and well maintained. I would definitely recommend VDR to professionals with no children, quiet, mature students, or retirees.
response from property -Thank you Felicie. Vista del Rey has a waiting list for applicants wanting to live here. That said, the market rent is a bit higher than some of the surrounding apartment homes with vacancies. We appreciate and value you as a resident. Please always feel welcome to come to the office and let us know if you have any complaints or frustrations. We want our residents to always be happy living at Vista del Rey!

Thank you Elaine and Sandra for all of the move-in assistance that you have provided. The 10th floor bayside view I can watch high school football games from a Skybox type view is awesome.
